ORGANIC MAGNESIUM 1500g
For the biologically ideal magnesium supply in the reef aquarium
Some corals and calcareous algae store calcium and strontium as well as magnesium in their skeleton. Biochemically, it is directly involved in the photosynthesis of algae, i.e. the conversion of carbon dioxide and light into organic compounds. Magnesium is therefore one of the most important minerals in sea water.
Tropic Marin ® BIO-MAGNESIUM supplies magnesium and carbon dioxide in a biologically optimally usable form, so that a magnesium deficiency in seawater is prevented and the natural concentration ratio between the alkaline earth metals is restored. These are basic requirements for a healthy coral reef in the aquarium.
The advantages at a glance:
|•||for the biologically ideal magnesium supply in crystalline form in the reef aquarium|
|•||supplies magnesium for strong skeletal growth of corals and red calcareous algae|
|•||supplies carbon dioxide for the zooxanthellae to support photosynthesis and the build-up of calcareous skeletons|
|•||the natural ionic composition and the pH value of the water are not changed|
|•||without unnatural by-products|
|•||without phosphates and nitrates|
|•||exact dosing and easiest application|
Natural sea water has an average magnesium content of 1280-1300 mg / l. First measure the magnesium concentration of your aquarium water and estimate the water volume of your tank taking into account the decoration (stones etc.). The addition of a measuring spoon of BIO-MAGNESIUM increases the magnesium content by approx. 10 mg / l per 100 l of water. The recommended maximum dose is 2 measuring spoons per 100 liters of aquarium water per day! Concentrations of over 1600 mg / l magnesium should be avoided, as various organisms could react negatively to extremely high magnesium contents.
To use, fill the measuring spoon with a leveled amount of BIO-MAGNESIUM (use a scraper). Sprinkle the contents of the measuring spoon evenly on the surface of the water while stirring. Make sure that no larger, undissolved BIO-MAGNESIUM crystals come into direct contact with the corals. To avoid clouding the water, do not add the next spoon until the previous one has been dissolved.
You can dissolve 450g BIO-MAGNESIUM in 720 ml reverse osmosis water to get 1l BIO-MAGNESIUM LIQUID.
You can also use our new dosing calculator to easily determine the dosage required for your aquarium .
Over time, the density of the water can increase slightly. Therefore, please check the density regularly. In addition to the magnesium concentration, the calcium content should also be monitored. The Tropic Marin ® Calcium / Magnesium Combitest Professional and Bio-Calcium are ideally suited as an ideal calcium source.
